Gradebook Management

Teacher guide to using the gradebook (GUI only).

Use the gradebook to enter, review, and manage grades for your classes. This guide explains only what you click and see.

Access the gradebook

  1. Open your dashboard.
  2. Select the class and subject you want to grade.
  3. Open the gradebook.

Understand the grid

  • Students appear in rows.
  • Assessments (or subjects/columns) appear across the top.
  • Each cell is a grade you can edit.

Enter and edit grades

  1. Click a cell to select it.
  2. Type the grade and confirm.
  3. To change a grade, click the cell again and enter a new value.
  4. To clear a grade, select the cell and remove the value.

Tips:

  • Use keyboard navigation to move between cells.
  • You can undo or redo recent changes if available.

Add many grades at once

  1. Open bulk actions in the gradebook.
  2. Choose the option to add multiple grades.
  3. Follow the on‑screen steps to review and apply the changes.

Use weights (if enabled)

  1. Open gradebook settings.
  2. Select the weights section.
  3. Adjust percentages for categories like homework, quizzes, and exams.
  4. Save your changes.

Use rubrics (if enabled)

  1. Open gradebook settings.
  2. Select the rubrics section.
  3. Create or choose a rubric and apply it to an assessment.

Export or print

  1. Open export options in the gradebook.
  2. Choose what you want to export (class, category, report).
  3. Download or print as needed.

View progress and insights

  • Open analytics or reports to see trends and distributions.
  • Check individual student progress and class summaries.

Best practices

  • Update grades soon after assessments.
  • Keep categories and weights consistent.
  • Review entries before finalizing reports.

Troubleshooting

  • If grades don’t appear, refresh the page.
  • If you can’t edit, make sure the correct class and term are selected.
  • If bulk actions fail, review the on‑screen messages and try again.
